South and Central London RIG Meeting

NALDIC’s South and Central London RIG met on 24th September and were treated to a fantastic workshop by one of Australia’s leading EAL teacher educators, Misty Adoniou.

In addition to Misty’s workshop we also had two 5-minute presentations from Kasia Franas (on the language of instructions) and Karen Dudley (on a parental involvement project) as well as a very lively discussion on partnership teaching.

The meeting was held at Henry Fawcett Primary School in Kennington and we’d like to thank them for generously hosting us and for the delicious cakes! Thanks in particular to Jack Young for organising the whole evening.

And bon voyage to our RIG Coordinator, Rob Sharples, who’s off to Penn State as a visiting scholar for the rest of the term!
