Director, Collaborative Learning Project
He has worked in universities in the UK and abroad. He has been an EAL and English teacher, HoD, deputy, head and Teachers’ Centre Leader in London schools. He was involved in the development and dissemination of the DfE Partnership Teaching Project, which addressed the effective participation of EAL teachers in mainstream classes. He still works part time as a partnership teacher in a school in Enfield. He has been on the Events committee for NALDIC. He works in partnership with Hounslow Language Service, NASSEA and Kingston University.
His professional interests include developing and disseminating teaching resources in all subjects and at all levels that include EAL learners, planning provision for EAL learners within mainstream classrooms, developing EAL friendly whole school approaches and promoting sustained shared thinking through oracy for all pupils.
