Talking about: their work with Early years children and educators in Norfolk, supporting Ukrainian refugee families, Day of Welcome and Schools of Sanctuary.

Talking about: what Schools of Sanctuary are, the process involved in becoming a School of Sanctuary, examples of the sanctuary work undertaken in St. Josephs, Young interpreters initiative to welcome others into the school- training for learners aged 5-16 to develop the skills needed to help new arrivals with English as an Additional Language Refugee Week – case study from 2021 to highlight development of literacy activities used to promote sanctuary from Nursery -Y6 A short film showcasing this will be included in the presentation, how the Expressive Arts curriculum can be used to develop the work in this area, both within the school, the local community and as cross and county-school projects.
There will also be opportunities for networking, sharing experiences and information and Q and A, as well as planning and gathering ideas for next SIG November 2022.
