Looking forward – positive strategies for multilingual learners with EAL in schools
You are cordially invited to attend our newly re-launched South London RIG, hosted by the University of Roehampton. NALDIC is the national subject association for English as an Additional Language.
This meeting represents an opportunity to explore a mixture of research and ‘good practice’ with opportunities to network with colleagues working with EAL and multilingual learners of at all ‘ages and stages’ of language acquisition.
Due to C19 measures, our RIG has moved online via ‘Zoom’ until further notice; you will be sent joining details in advance of the meeting via email.
Anyone interested in attending must contact the convenor to register in advance.

Updates from NALDIC
In addition to introductions and opportunities for networking, we will welcome our guest speaker Emma Cleave. Please find a short bio of Emma’s work and interests below; also, here is a link to her report for The Bell Founndation: ‘Language, Education and Social Justice – International strategies for systems change in multilingual schools, which she will be sharing with us.
Emma is passionate about systems change and social justice in the education, migration, and arts sectors. She works in the non-profit sector to design programmes that work towards more equitable access to systems, services and society for diverse and multilingual communities. Emma is currently co-leading Camden’s Local Cultural Education Partnership, Camden Spark, where she collaborates with schools and arts organisations to ensure access to creative and cultural education for local children and young people. She is also a Churchill Fellow (migration), and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
There is no charge for this event.
Look forward to seeing you!
