Theme: Yet to be confirmed
Thursday 23rd March, 16:30-18:30
Faculty of Education, Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester
Convenor: Carol Hrynyk
The first meeting will mainly be an opportunity for us all to meet and discuss our aims for the group, to identify our main areas of interest and also to identify existing expertise within the group that can be shared in future meetings. We also hope to identify a range of other venues across the region for future RIG meetings.
Additionally, there will be a presentation and discussion around the Hampshire Young Interpreters Scheme – of one school’s experience of developing the programme and of how it can be adapted to promote inclusion and to celebrate diversity and bilingualism at every educational phase.
Refreshments will be available from 4.30pm for a 4.45pm start. The meeting is free and open to everyone working or studying within the field of EAL in the north west. It’s not necessary to be a member of NALDIC to attend.
