Speaker
Hamish Chalmers PhD is Vice-Chair of NALDIC, editor of NALDIC’s blog EALjournal.org, and associate editor of the EAL Journal, NALDIC’s professional periodical. He is on the advisory panel for Assessing Claims in Education project in collaboration with the Education Endowment Foundation and the Chartered College of Teaching.
Meet your convenors
Eowyn Crisfield is a Canadian-educated specialist in bilingualism, bilingualism in education, and teacher-training. Her past institutional experience includes English-language teaching, language department coordination, curriculum development, lecturing in Initial Teacher Education programmes. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, lecturing on the Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching Multilingual Learners and the MA TESOL.
Joanna Borysiak is a language educator and communicator, focusing on supporting multilingual families and non-specialist teachers, connecting them with accessible, practical and actionable information. She has worked in educational publishing, assessment and teacher training. She holds a PGCE in Teaching Multilingual Learners from Oxford Brookes University and is intent on bringing her children up bilingually.
