FutureLearn online course

This three-week course, from online provider FutureLearn working with the University of Reading, is aimed at teachers, speech and language therapists, and parents wanting to know more about how to support children learning in more than one language. It is endorsed by NALDIC and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. 

Content contributors are experts from the University of Reading’s Institute of Education and School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences. Drawing on their research and practical experiences with teachers and speech and language therapists, they present a series of three learning units aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the benefits of multilingualism and celebration of heritage languages. Content showcases outstanding practitioners, and children from schools known for their excellent multilingual practice and positive orientations to diversity.
