This section considers various forms of EAL assessment carried out in schools across the UK and their implications. This draws on current practice and systems, including the new DfE EAL Stages of Proficiency.
This research-based, practice-informed assessment framework introduced at Conference 23 (2015) was introduced in January 2017.
