Being Trauma Informed: Practical solutions to support Trauma Informed Practice

In classrooms across the UK (and internationally) we find pupils entering the classroom not ready to learn due to trauma. Some of these pupils are aware of traumas they have experienced, thus making them easier to support, and others are not, meaning as practitioners we have to understand their behaviour and find ways to support them. During this session, we will look at practical solutions to support all pupils; those with and those without trauma in the classroom. There will be a specific consideration and discussion around refugees’ and opportunities for questions and discussion.
