We are inviting you to attend the re-launching of NALDIC’s South London RIG, at the University of Roehampton. NALDIC is the national subject association for English as an Additional Language.
This meeting represents a very exciting and unique opportunity: it will be a mixture of research and good practice from local practitioners and an opportunity to network with colleagues working with EAL learners of at all ‘ages and stages’ of additional language acquisition.
Our agenda will include:
- Updates on recent important information from Naldic
- Our first guest speaker Dr Kyara Rojo-Bustos, University of Roehampton on research with multilingual learners in the EY from her latest publication: ‘Other languages” in an early years language program in England: An examination of monolingual discourses and cultural inclusive practice’ (Journal of Research in Childhood Education – expected publication November 2019
- Sharing information about what is happening in participants’ schools/settings, organisations etc.
- Discussion about what we all hope for the newly-relaunched South London Regional Group and opportunities to put forward ideas to present (and host!) a RIG in your school/setting.
There is no charge for attending this event. If you wish to attend, please send an email to: southlondonrig@naldic.org.uk
We look forward to meeting you at the re-launch of the South London RIG.
