Outline of the session: Whether you’re language specialist, a class teacher, or a classroom assistant, join us to hear about ways you can support vocabulary learning and language development for multilingual learners in the classroom.
Joanna will be reviewing evidence about vocabulary teaching and learning, as well as discussing the role of peer support through talk partners and language modelling. Additionally, she’ll be sharing some action research and discourse analysis principles with the goal of enabling and encouraging you to find out more about the interactions your learners are having in their lessons.
