Our EAL Programme aims to improve the educational outcomes of EAL learners in the UK. The Foundation develops research and trials interventions to inform and provide resources and training for schools to develop capacity and good practise.
Our research indicates that EAL training and support for schools remains inconsistent and difficult to access, and that there is real demand for cost effective EAL CPD, particularly for schools based in areas of high need. To address this issue, the Foundation is developing a national network of Centres of Expertise to build capacity and sustainable support in the system, and to increase the reach and impact of its EAL Programme.
We are now recruiting partners to become regional Centres of Expertise. We want to establish effective partnerships with high-performing teaching school alliances and multi-academy trusts that share our strategic vision.
The call for partners and our partnership criteria can be found on our website, and the deadline for expressions of interest is Friday 28 September.
