Description
This edition contains some write-ups from the excellent November conference on the subject of ‘Speaking, listening and learning English as an Additional Language’. We thought it would be good to share the ideas with those who were unable to attend this time round so as to stimulate further discussion of the issues that were raised. We have received contributions from Jill Bourne on ‘Constructing Ability Through Talk’, Jennifer Jenkins on ‘Talking It Through Whose Accent?’. Neil Mercer on ‘Thinking Together, and an interview with our keynote speaker, Merrill Swain.
