Welcome to NQ 8.2 – the conference edition! Firstly. Conference 18, Language Education for a Changing World – The European Dimension, was something of a departure for NALDIC. We have previously looked to other English-dominant countries when seeking fresh stimulus and a new perspective on our work here; this time we turned our gaze to Europe.

The conference was a joint venture with the Comenius EUCIM-TE project, an EU-funded initiative aimed at developing a European core curriculum for teacher education in multilingual settings. We were delighted to have the opportunity to hear direct from the EUCIM-TE team about their exciting and freshly completed work which we are hopeful will have a significant impact on teacher training and development and so the teaching and learning of pupils in our schools.
