Description
For those of us who work in ethnically diverse and multilingual educational institutions we may take diversity as a given in our own professional context. We also know that the UK as a whole is becoming increasingly ethnically and linguistically diverse. What is perhaps less well known is that many other European countries have been experiencing similar developments.
The student population data from the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) published by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) provide a vivid picture. (see the paper for the reference)
